Katy’s classes are playful and dynamic and have a strong focus on alignment. Expect longer holds to build strength and flexibility as well as rhythmic movement to steady the mind.

Her hope is that students who attend her classes are able to build friendships in and outside of the classroom.

  • IONA

    OWNER + COACH

Having worked as a teacher and most recently a deputy headteacher in a London primary school for the last 14 years, Iona took the plunge to turn her passion for fitness, health, and running into a new career at the end of 2022. As a keen runner, having run many marathons and ultra-marathons, she has spent the last few years educating herself about the benefits of strength training to support her running journey. This is a huge driver for her work as a personal trainer and run coach - helping people learn that their running is made in the gym.

Iona is qualified in pre- and post-natal fitness and supporting women on this journey is a huge passion of hers. “I want to empower people and women in particular to want to be the strongest version of themselves - both mentally and physically - and to use movement as well as other tools to do this. Helping to break down the barriers women face in training is something I pride myself on, particularly in the pre- and post-natal journey. Whether it's running or lifting weights I want to encourage people to move in a way they love to feel good.”

  • KATE

    COACH

After training in contemporary dance & ballet, in 2013 Kate pursued her health & fitness career by becoming a PT & Sport Coach. She has since worked & studied in numerous countries developing her knowledge with qualifications such as Advanced Nutrition and Pre/Post Natal exercise.

  • ROB

    COACH

Rob Sambidge is born and bread Londoner: unheard of, we know! As a new father, he believes now more than ever that exercise should compliment your lifestyle not dictate it. Focussing on functional fitness his key mottos are: “leave your ego at home” and “practice what you preach”. With this in mind, Rob brings bags of energy and years of training experience that will help you take your training to the next level.

  • HAYLEY

    COACH

Hayley Woodruff has always had a passion for sport and fitness. Starting at a young age, this love for exercise became a huge part of her adult life, enabling her to stay mentally and physically strong, focused, and sane during a successful 10 year advertising career.

Having made the plunge to work full time in the fitness industry, she believes that most people’s barriers with exercising start in the mind, which, once overcome, the possibilities are endless. “The human body is an incredible instrument which, if you learn to love and respect it, will reward you in more ways than you thought possible! A strong mind is key to building a strong body.”

  • STEVE

    COACH + RUN CLUB LEAD

Steve focuses his efforts on cultivating growth and intuition through consistent training.

Having initially honed his skills as a gymnast, he transitioned into skateboarding and riding bikes. Overcoming fractured patellas in both 2017 and 2018, Steve's journey led him to Element Fitness in early 2019, marking a pivotal point in his recovery journey.

Following a long build training plan he completed the challenging South Down's Way 50-mile run in 2021 navigating the challenges and more injuries along the way.

He guides an online training collective, Lockdown Fit Club, which is focused on crafting a movement practice that enhances physical abilities and fosters a deeper understanding and connection with one's body.

  • DARREN

    PILATES TEACHER

Darren discovered Pilates in 2006. After a few sessions he started to see changes in his body: his back pain was disappearing, he was getting stronger, and ultimately he became addicted! After consistent practice he felt both the physical and mental benefits and decided he would love to pursue teaching Pilates and this is when his true Pilates journey began.

Other the years he has studied various lineages and now focuses on the classical work, having been lucky to learn from Dana Santi, who is now his key teacher and mentor.

Darren has always wanted to help other people, whether it be through overcoming back pain, helping with anxiety/depression, helping women during and after pregnancy, or working with sports professionals to enhance their current training regime.

Darren has seen over the years how amazing the human body is and the ability it has to heal itself when trained well.

  • VERONIQUE

    YOGA TEACHER

Veronique grew up in British Columbia, Canada and is a lover of oceans, mountains, sky and sun. She is a performer and singer at heart, bringing vocal and physical presence to her yoga classes.

Veronique believes that yoga practice is for every human body, and encourages students to meet themselves where they are. Years of being the least flexible person in the room has taught her that yoga is never about how the asana (pose) looks aesthetically, but rather about exploring how it feels in the body.

Expect breath-led, energising and inclusive practice that focuses on working with each practitioner’s own unique range of motion and flexibility.

Veronique is a 200 hour RYT, and is continually training and learning! She loves to cook, host events and retreats, she runs a yoga workshop programme for young performers and hosts corporate mindfulness sessions.
